    What type of foundation is required for the spa?

    Provide a solid foundation for your AquaRest Spa with a minimum load-bearing capacity of 75 lbs. per square foot. Some surface suggestions: travertine, synthetic wood, stone/slate, brick pavers, cement or stained cement.

    How often should I change the filter, and where do I get replacement filters?

    Depending on how often you use your spa, a spa filter should last a year, on average. Most owners keep a second filter on hand so that they can continue to enjoy their spa while its filter is being cleaned.

    How much time will I spend cleaning my hot tub?

    AquaRest Spas come with our patented EZ Kleen filtration system that provides 100 percent water filtration to reduce the amount of time you need to spend cleaning your spa and water. EZ Kleen eliminates the bulky suction fittings that most spas have protruding in the footwell area. Finally there’s a filtration system that fits seamlessly into the design of your spa and even beautifies it thanks to a LED backlit waterfall.

    What is the average cost of hot tub maintenance?

    Your environment, frequency of use and level of upkeep are all factors that go into determining the cost of hot tub maintenance. Because each spa has full foam insulation and comes with a free Thermal Locking Cover, the heat is kept in and your costs are kept low. Plan on $30 per month in operating costs between electricity and chemicals.

    What does an Ozonator do?

    An Ozonator helps keep your water cleaner and easier to maintain while reducing the use of harsh chemicals. An Ozonator produces ozone gas that is then injected into the spa water. The ozone gas passes through the water, killing bacteria 50 times faster than any chemical treatment. When the ozone gas hits the surface it reverts back to pure oxygen. Ozonators reduce the need of harsh chemicals by up to 50 percent.

    Can I convert my hot tub to 240V?

    The 240V spa can be converted back to 120V, but the 120V cannot be converted to the 240V. You would need to connect a GFCI cord and change the dip switch setting in order to do this. Contact us or the manufacturer for more details. Even with the Deluxe upgrade, your new spa will ship 120V ready with no additional wiring necessary.

    How do I install my AquaRest Spa?

    All AquaRest Spas use 120V, 15 amp service that plugs into a standard electrical outlet without any special wiring. All you have to do is fill your spa with water, plug it in, and enjoy. It doesn’t get easier than that.

    (The optional 240V upgrade package available requires wiring by an electrician if converted to 240V.) Even with the Deluxe upgrade, your new spa will ship 120V ready with no additional wiring necessary.

    I’m sorry to hear that you had problems hooking up the 240v. Not that it will do much good now, but we have a few tips and tricks we could give to make the connection go a little smoother.

      You can find the full instructions in the manual beginning on page 12, but here are a few tricks that will make it a little easier:
      – Use #6 wire but cut it back to the size of #8 wire
      – Make the bend in the wire with needle nose pliers (to go through the access hole at the bottom of the control pack and make the connection)

    The tub is a great size for two people. The upgrade to 240v heater and 2hp pump makes a nice spa experience. However, the equipment area is a real congested space and having the control box mounted on the access door is a ridiculous idea, and the control box layout makes it almost impossible to connect the necessary 6 gauge 240v wiring. The 240v upgrade package should have a rigid mounted control box with a junction box for the power connections.

    I have owned many spas over the past 30 years, Cal Spa, Jacuzzi, Hot Springs, Soft Tub and others. This is the BEST VALUE BY FAR! The molded construction is strong and light, everything works great. It was shipped when promised and delivered professionally. We are in it daily at dawn, it hold the set temp of 102 perfectly, the waterfall light is wonderful. I would relocate the on/off pump switch from position 3 to position 4 (the end) of the control panel and make it slightly larger than the other 3. It would be easy to find in the dark, by feel.

    Got the spa about 3 months ago and have used it several times a week every week since.

    To summarize, I think this spa is a good value, however you can tell it is in a lower class compared to other tubs I’ve been in. Note, I DO have the upgrade kit with 2.0hp dual-speed motor, friction heater, and O3 generator.

    PROS:
    – Low cost
    – Easy to move
    – No custom wiring with the 120V option
    – Big enough for 1 or 2 people as long as you don’t want to move around and stretch in it.

    CONS (in order of significance):
    – Weak jets. Yes you can feel them, but it’s not going to give you a massage. Perhaps wiring to 220 would increase pump flow, but I think it only affects the heating. With 220 you might be able to get an entirely different pump altogether.
    – Rough texture (I never use a bathing suit, and it’s on the verge of uncomfortable. Might break out my buffing/sanding wheel and smooth out the seat and back areas next time I empty it.
    – Installed jets were fixed/adjustable jets only. Spinning jets tend to enhance the massage experience. I have since upgraded to dual-roto and single-roto jets. A big improvement to the experience.
    – Horrible attachment of access cover to spa (seriously how much extra would it cost to drill out and put some threaded metal inserts in there)?
    – Hard to see and feel control buttons in the dark. Usability of the controls by feel is tough. Would be better if buttons were backlit instead of the bright LED adjacent to the buttons.
    – Multifunction LED light control is a little confusing to use and end up toggling through bunch of colors just to get to the desired color or turn it off. Wish it was just one color on/off. 3 months in and I still don’t understand how the LED light control works!

    In summary, guess I’ve been spoiled in the past with larger more powerful spas. I was a little dissapointed after the first evenings experience, however it IS better than NO spa at all, and I’ll take what I can get. It is a very good value overall. Would have given it a 3 star rating, but the value moves it back up to a 4 star.

    I purchased my two man hot tub last October and the staff was very helpful and placing my order. I received the hot tub and a very reasonable amount of time and it was delivered to the end of my driveway. I couldn’t wait to set up the hot tub, so once I filled it up I added the bromine tablets and gave it overnight to warm up and treat the hot tub. It took about one full day to heat up the hot tub to a hundred degrees which I only got the 110 volt version. This hot tub has exceeded expectations. Thank you Clearwater Manchester!

    Pretty pleased with the hot tub. So much lighter than my previous hot tub, and I had no problem moving it onto my deck and where it goes by myself. It is a pain in the butt to fish the wiring through the case when you change it over to 220V. I drilled I hole through the case, and put in a strain relief, then fished the 220 wiring through to the control box. Had to pull out some of the blown in insulation. I’m also not a big fan of the vent holes that are molded into the access door. I live in Illinois, where it gets subzero sometimes in winter, and I see no reason to have open vents that are about an inch wide by 7-8 inches tall, where I can look in and see motor and plumbing. Makes no sense to me. I insulated the vent holes. Also, as others have stated, the access panel is a royal pain in the butt. The tub texture is somewhat rough and can be irritable to a bare butt.
    It does seem to be energy efficient and doesn’t run much. Overall I’m very pleased with it so far.

    I love the hot tub. It works great. The jets are plenty powerful for a plug n play. The only thing that does not work is the light. It comes on but flashes constantly. Have to keep the light off. It drives you nuts at night with the flashing. I did not buy the hot tub for the light anyway. I am extremely happy with my hot tub and the company. I will definitely buy my next tub from them.

Cost Of Installation: $379

What you need to do prior to the Contractors arrival:
  • Have a person 18 years or older present, authorized to approve changes, for the entire installation.
  • Verify the delivery date and time
  • Remove pets and other animals from the On-Site Service location
  • Make sure the path from the original delivery to the placement area is cleared of obstructions
  • Make sure the placement area is ground level (no balcony placements, deck placements, or up or down stairs
  • The distance from delivery to placement cannot exceed 250 feet
  • The foundation must be level, flat, and capable of supporting the spa as outlined in the delivery guide.
  • Provide a water source with hose
  • The electrical service outlet must meet manufacturer’s recommendation
  • The Completed Spa location must be legal, not blocking access, parking, egress, etc., and meet local child safety requirements
Cancellations and Refunds: This service order must be canceled at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time to qualify for a refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to a $65 cancellation fee.  The following additional services are sometimes required but are not common enough to include them in the Scope of Work.  If any of the following are needed, you be given the opportunity to accept or decline prior to the additional services being rendered. Service that is out of scope:
  • Rewiring or changes to existing electric circuits or outlets
  • Leveling or building a foundation
  • Crane service
  • Placement area other than ground level (no balconies, decks, etc.)
  • Installation in gazebo’s or greenhouses
  • Landscaping, removal of obstructions
  • Painting, staining, drywall or plastering
  • Acquiring permits or permit fees
  • Return trips to perform other work that is Out Of Scope
  • Removing and replacing the deck or deck parts
  • Moving furnishings or materials to get access
  • Relocation of existing pipes, electrical wire, plumbing or drains
